Race Day: Sunday, June 29
Pikes Peak Mountain is located 15 minutes West of Colorado Springs. To reach the entrance to Pikes Peak Highway, take Highway 24 west to the small town of Cascade, take a left at the traffic light and follow the signs to Pikes Peak Highway and North Pole to the toll gate.
Hill Climb Schedule
2:00 a.m. – Gateway opens for Officials and Competitors only. All competitors and credentialed personnel must enter through Gate #1 or #2. Over sized/larger vehicles must enter through gate #3. No two way uphill traffic at any point for anyone.
2:00 a.m. – Any competitor observed above the start line between 2:00am-8:00am will be automatically disqualified and scored as a DNS.
3:00 a.m. – Gateway opens to the public. All spectators must use the uphill lane and enter through any of the three gates available. No two way uphill traffic at any point for anyone.
3:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. – Ticket Sales at PPIHC and Will Call ticket pick up at the Gateway
6:30 a.m. – Non-denominational service (in the clearing behind race control) – Layne Schranz
7:00 a.m. – Online Livestream of the 92nd PPIHC (http://2014ppihc.emergingsports.tv)
7:00 a.m. – Riders Meeting (Red Bull Bus in Fan Experience Zone)
7:10 a.m. – Drivers Meeting (Red Bull Bus in Fan Experience Zone)
7:20 a.m. – Opening Ceremony (Red Bull Bus in Fan Experience Zone)
7:30 a.m. – Highway turned over to PPIHC (Randy Ruyle)
7:35 a.m. – Motorcycles begin lining up
7:50 a.m. – Pace Car
7:59 a.m. – The Flag is Dropped
8:00 a.m. – Start of the 92nd running
TBD – End of the 92nd running
TBD – Awards Ceremony (in the VIP by the start line tent shortly after competitors have returned down from the top)
